Zofingen, Switzerland, 07 July 2020. RIB Software SE, the world's leading provider of iTWO 5D BIM Big Data technology for the construction industry, today announced the conclusion of a Phase-II-contract with Lehmann Group.
For 145 years the Lehmann family has been closely connected with the material wood. The former sawmill on the Erlenhof has now grown into a family group with three companies and over 300 employees. Blumer-Lehmann AG, as part of it, is one of the leading Swiss timber construction companies.
In cooperation with internationally renowned architectural firms, the Blumer-Lehmann AG realizes trendsetting Free-Form timber buildings all over the world. In addition, modular construction and temporary construction also belong to the special fields of the company.
The group also includes Lehmann Holzwerk AG, a company specialising in the wood industry, and BL Silobau AG, a company specialising in silo and plant construction.
After a professional selection process and the successful implementation of a preliminary project, the traditional company has chosen RIB as its future technology and implementation partner.
Katharina Lehmann, owner and CEO of the Lehmann Group: "In order to improve our entire core process, we decided to use a fully integrated construction industry solution. In addition to the seamless, digital coverage of our planning and execution process, the digital collaboration with our suppliers using Swiss and German norms and standards was important to us. The possibility to display all locations and company divisions in one system and thus combining the construction industry and business management was what finally convinced us".
Konstantin Petratos, CEO of RIB Cosinus AG, Switzerland: "With this contract we were able to convince a leading timber construction company to implement the fully integrated business software. With this strategic decision, the company will achieve the immense benefits of end-to-end cost and project transparency through the digitalization of all processes. We are looking forward to supporting Lehmann Group during the implementation".
